Is Jed York the second coming of Dan Snyder ?

Guys I don't live in the bay area but I'm a big niners fan. Is this a case of Dan Snyder of the west coast (see Redskins for the past 10 years) as far as Jed York is concerned. How come Edy Debartolo's vast knowledge is not used here. Is Jed York or his family not in good terms with Mr D. I hope somebody understands my question and can also fill me in. Thank you.
