Do you think this article is true?
I think that Phoenix will move sooner than later. This is due to poor attendance at games, and their large amounts of debt. Phoenix lost their Bryzgalov, and now don't have a number one goaltender. There doesn't seem to be an ownership group that wants to purchase the franchise because of all the debt. Success in Phoenix seems to have almost no potential. With the price tag on the team, with all the debt and uncertainty, it is logical to see why nobody is interested. The city of Glendale does not want the debt of the franchise. The team itself was not able to make any free agent signings to help them to compete in the Western Conference. Shane Doan is getting old, and can't carry the team anymore. Relying on draft picks, will take many years for the prospects to become NHL players, who can turn the team around. All signs point to relocation. If they do relocate, then it first choice must be Quebec City (seeing as they once had a team). The Nordiques seem to be the best bet, because they are building a new arena in Quebec. Seems like the Nordiques may return to a great hockey market.
