Is it legal to do a title transfer behind the someone back? And how do I get a copy of the title transfer ?

A lady I worked with signed a promissory note to help me get a car.I found out her son (he her power of attorney )had the car towed on 7-20-2010, same day did a title transfer then tagged it under his business company name.I still have the original title,bill of sale,and only a copy of the original promissory papers.How did he get a title transfer and how do I get a copy of the bill of sale or title transfer from the lady that sold him the car? The wrecker service is refusing to give me a paper that shows on what grounds they were told to have it towed, (off of private property mind u ) and why they released it to him when he only had a title transfer and a notorized bill of sale? I did file a small claims case against the lady I worked with.But now the car is in her sons name! I have a attorney on the case but he wants me to walk away from it all.He say it is as complicaid as a $100,ooo.oo case against a corporation lawsuite.I dont understand why I cant subponia the wrecker service and this lady son.ANY serious advice? I want my car back,compensary damages paid,from them to pay all lawyers fees,and court cost! I feel I am not asking too much.But Why do I have more guts than my lawyer,to take this case to court?
