Can't we all just get along?

I'll admit that I can be quite party-line sometimes, but I'm thoroughly disgusted at the malice I'm seeing in all these questions. "You liberals" this, "You Republicans" that. What are we doing it for? Why bother fighting this ideological war when there are far more important things to debate? So much time is being wasted on cheap partisan shots that we can't even have a productive, civilized, insightful political discussion. Does anyone agree with me?
